Summary #7

This post wraps up my Free Inquiry project on Autism (ASD). While completing my research and reflecting on my personal experience. These are some of the things I am taking away from this project.

  1. Autism Spectrum Disorder is different for everyone, and each person has their own strengths and challenges.
  2. Understanding what ASD can look like in daily life and in classrooms helps create more supportive and inclusive environments.
  3. Personal experiences, like growing up with my brothers, gave me personal insight that research alone can’t provide.
  4. Acceptance is more important than just awareness; valuing children with autism for who they are makes the biggest difference.

Overall, I learned a lot from this project and feel more prepared to support, understand, and celebrate neurodiversity in my future classroom.
