Summary #7
This post wraps up my Free Inquiry project on Autism (ASD). While completing my research and reflecting on my personal experience. These are some of the things I am taking away from this project.
- Autism Spectrum Disorder is different for everyone, and each person has their own strengths and challenges.
- Understanding what ASD can look like in daily life and in classrooms helps create more supportive and inclusive environments.
- Personal experiences, like growing up with my brothers, gave me personal insight that research alone can’t provide.
- Acceptance is more important than just awareness; valuing children with autism for who they are makes the biggest difference.
Overall, I learned a lot from this project and feel more prepared to support, understand, and celebrate neurodiversity in my future classroom.
